Worst Blogger ever.....

So I am farely certain I am the worst blogger ever as I only update my blog like once every 6 months. Lol. A lot had happened since my last blog including but not limited to: moving out of our rental, moving back home for a few months, celebrating the holidays, watching Noah grow and learn more each day... Missing something, oh yeah, WE BROUGHT OUR FIRST HOUSE!!!!!! We have been here since Feb and loving it. It feels great to pull into the driveway and know we never have to move unless we want to or the bank kicks us out ( hopefully that never happens ;)) will post more regularly. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the blessings God offers us!!! God Bless Friends!

Time passing...

Wow, it has been almost over a year since I last blogged. I will have to add this to at least a weekly thing to do. Not that I have a huge fan base but I can't ever get one if I don't blog at all :)

I hope this blog finds everyone well and enjoying the changing of seasons. I however am not looking forward to what arrives in Wisconsin after fall. I love all the colors of fall and of course all the yummy treats associated with fall. Fresh apples, pumpkins, the final harvest from the garden. While these are all wonderful and refreshing to enjoy after the warmth of summer, its the cold of winter I dread most. One would think the snow would be my issue but its the freezing winds and low, low temps I dislike the most. But being from Wisconsin I think we Wisconsinites adjust quickly from 80 degrees one day to 35 degrees the next, lol.

This fall we have traveled to the somewhat local orchard, some 50 miles away in the thriving area called Merrill, WI. We had the delights of visiting Helene's Hilltop Orchards. It was a very family friendly area where my toddler enjoyed a cow train (not literally a cow train, but 55 gallon plastic barrels painted to look like cows pulled behind a tractor), a hay ride, a corn maze and a play area complete with old farm equipment to climb on. It was a windy day and the temps were in the low 50s but it was still fun.

Just funny...
Well until next time, stay warm and enjoy fall.
God bless everyone.

Cold Fall Days.....

I absolutely hate, when the nice, warm days of summer melt away to cold, damp fall days and nights. I love summer so much that I spend the better half of September and October whining about how much I hate the "white stuff!" I don't even want to mention the very name of all the "white stuff" that will soon inevitably be upon us.

Each year, I tell myself I am going to get a hobby to help me pass the time by when all the "white stuff" is here and yet again, it is that time of the year and I still haven't found something will be help me pass the time away. Sure, I have a few unfinished projects, a blanket I started crocheting almost 2 years ago and still needs to be finished, a piece of furniture that needs to be stripped and refinished...but other than that not anything that will help me pass the months by while the "white stuff" is here.

So for inspiration this year, while the "white stuff" is here, I am going to look to my 2 old son. Who every day finds new mystery in an old story book, or laughs in a movie seen almost a dozen times and of course being a boy wants to spend all day gazing around outside. Maybe with his enthusiasm this year, I might gain a new appreciation for all the "white stuff."
~I hope you have a blessed night!

Winds of Change

Sometimes, I think we find ourselves wondering what it would be like if this or that were to change in our lives, but then when a change happens we find ourselves yearning for the past. What is comforting, reliable and what makes us feel safe. These times are so full of uncertainty for everyone. Each country is facing tough choices, families are daily losing jobs, homes and ways to provide for even the basic necessities. Then something happens that will directly affect the rest of your own future and all you can think about it a time when things felt certain, safe and comforting.

I often find myself yearning for the years of my childhood when times become rough. I think of my carefree days of summer play, and endless days (or so it seemed.) I remember childhood friendships that you thought would never end, the first camp out of summer or even the first bike crash of summer that you knew was certain to happen again. I often laugh when I recall these days and all of the endless fun we shared. Nothing is more comforting to me than to remember those days, they feed my soul and remind me that even though the night seems ongoing now, that the light will shine again and God's plan does have a purpose. Though this purpose is not noticeable now, it will be in due time and then I will reflect on this time of my life and know that this was all in His plan.

So if you too find yourself at a crossroad in your life, remember to just hang on and it will all be the way it is meant to be.

Good night dear friends and may your night be blessed!

Long over due...but here it is......

So, I have gotten requests to post pictures of our new rental home so here it goes. In a random order, welcome to our home.
This is the front deck/only deck we have. Yesterday I went shopping and brought our new patio chairs, Andy's grill (notice I mention it as Andy's grill! I love summer no cooking for this mama!) and Noah's new basketball hoop.
Noah is so eager to water anything I will let him, we started out in the decorative pond and moved onto the sidewalk.
We also put down new mulch yesterday in the front. The old mulch was very sparse and made the front of the house look very run down.

Andy putting the grill together. He was wondering why I didn't buy a pre-assembled one. hahaha, have fun honey.

Our living room with our fish tank that we won on auction for only $25 with all the accessories.  This is Andy's pride and joy! His TV. Something that he said was a necessary purchase when we moved in.This is the view out of my kitchen window. My neighbor's have a beautiful backyard garden.
 The kitchen/ dining area.
This is my pride and joy in our home, my built in wine rack!
Noah's safari haven. I brought this trunk for Noah at a garage sale for only $5 and it is the best toy chest we have ever had.
 Our bedroom room.
Complete with a built in vanity.

So that is a quick run through of our house. I hope you enjoyed the preview. Stop for a visit anytime. Though I must warn you that it probably won't look this nice since I had to ask Noah several times to pick up his toys before I could take the pics. LOL. Have a great day and a wonderful Fourth of July weekend everyone! ~Danielle

Mary Kay

So a few months ago I started a Mary Kay business. I love Mary Kay! I have used the products since I was about 16 and love it love it love! Oh did I say how much I LOVE MK!

So since our move to our new home, I haven't done much with my business and I feel myself missing my "girl time." I love to get out, meet new people and help them to look and feel great about themselves. That is the best perk of this business, helping women feel like they are important and they matter. I love when after a facial is complete and the women look into their mirrors, the expressions on their faces! For some women this is the first time they ever wore makeup, others this is the first time they had another woman compliment them on how beautiful their eyes are and for others it is a chance to just pamper themselves after another horrible day at work. I love all the chatter that fills the table while we are doing facials and just the giddiness of middle school girls that returns for a brief moment. It makes me feel like the women are back in middle school learning with their girlfriends how to put on makeup for the first time.

I love also knowing that faith is a high priority in my MK business. Mary Kay Ash was a firm believer in Christ and knowing that there is still a company in corporate America that wants Christ to be apart of its everyday activity is an inspiration all in its own.

So, I am not trying to be a walking advertisement for MK or anything, just simply wanted to share how excited I am that now that the moving is done and life is settling back down, I get a chance to get my "girl time" back! Have a wonderful day everyone and God Bless your day!

Summer Days

Today has been filled with potting flowers at our house. Noah was very helpful, digging up everything as fast I could plant it and needless to say he was potting soil from head to toe today. I would have taken a picture but I seem to have left my camera at my parent's house.

Our fearless little boy has also mastered climbing the fence in the front of the house and thinks he should straddle the top rail like he is riding a horse. This feat would be fine if there was grass on each side to cushion his inevitable fall but one side has rocks and the other side is sidewalk. I am hoping this is a phase he will quickly grow out of...climbing everything and anything and jumping from it. Noah is developing his "hops" skills quiet well and it definitely be very beneficial to his future sports days.

I have been enjoying the heat of summer the last couple of days and am hoping that the beautiful weather is here to stay. I hope everyone is enjoying summer and for all the kiddos who's last day of school was yesterday, I hope you are having a great 1st day of summer vacation!
